Our story

From the land of Gir, Gujarat.

The Gir is one of India's oldest native cattle breeds. It is named for the Gir forest of Gujarat, a teak forest where the breed has grazed for generations.

Our mark shows a woman churning curd the bilona way, beside a Gir cow under the teak of the Gir forest. It stands for how ghee has always been part of Indian homes: in the kitchen, at festivals, and in the jar a relative brings when a baby arrives.

Ghee Culture is A2 Gir cow ghee in a jar that is good enough to give. We put the origin story on every label and back it with a batch number, our FSSAI licence and an independent lab report.

Questions

Good to know.

Can't find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp at .

What is A2 Gir cow ghee?

Ghee made from the milk of Gir cows, a native Indian breed from the Gir forest region of Gujarat. "A2" refers to the type of beta-casein protein in the milk of breeds like the Gir. Our ghee has one ingredient: cow milk fat.

How do I know it's genuine?

Every jar carries a batch number, packing and use-by dates, and our FSSAI licence number. Our ghee was tested by a NABL-accredited lab (report S/3715/2026/A) and every result fell within FSSAI limits. See the results.

How do I pay?

Checkout is handled by Razorpay, so you can pay with UPI, debit or credit cards, netbanking or wallets. Prices shown are MRP, inclusive of all taxes.

How is my order delivered?

We ship through Shiprocket. Once your order is packed and dispatched, you'll get tracking details on your phone and email.

How should I store it?

Keep it in a cool, dry place with the lid closed, and use a dry spoon. It's best used within 12 months of opening, and before the use-by date on the label. Ghee can set solid or turn grainy in cooler weather. That's normal.

Do you take bulk or corporate orders?

Yes. Our Diwali gifting boxes start at ₹749 per box, with minimums from 20 to 30 boxes. See the corporate gifting page to plan an order.
